All children from Pre-K to 5th Grade are welcome to come celebrate on Sunday mornings at St. John's Church, as they learn about their faith and ways to praise and worship in fun filled ways.
We have an amazing First Communion Program for our parish. We are blessed to work with our Catholic Schools in Sacramental preparation. Our volunteer teachers aspire to teach about the church, mass, and our community. We have songs, activities, games, and more.
Parents can join along the journey as they see each child learn about God. Our program runs from September to May. During the summer we have VBS for the children.

Edge forms the Middle School (Grades 6-8) portion of our Religious Education Program.
Edge is a Catholic middle school youth ministry program (grades 6-8) which provides a safe fun place for youth to find solid Catholic community, get answers to their questions about faith, and, most important, experience Jesus in a profound and personal way.
The Edge program presents Catholic teaching in a way that young people can understand and answers the needs of this age group in a catechetical, fun, and relevant way while providing a foundation for youth to continue to confirmation. During the summer we offer a middle school VBS.

Holy Cross Parish Youth (Grades 9th - 12th) are at a pivotal moment in life where they are wrestling with their identity and trying to establish who they want to become. We want to give our teens a place to belong, empowering them to bring Christ to their friends and community, and invite their peers to encounter Christ at our parish.
The Newman Club is a student club at both SUNY Plattsburgh and Clinton Community College. Students build fellowship through fun activities, worship, study, retreats, and community events. Together students promote strong character, a spirit of service and genuine friendships.
Meetings Sundays (while college is in session) following the 5:00PM Mass at the Newman Center for dinner and fellowship.

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults/Children (RCIA/C) is a
process that brings individuals into full communion in the Catholic
Church. Much more than just "convert classes," RCIA offers the
opportunity for conversion through a participation in the passion, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Catechumens and candidates will journey with members of the parish family, who will support them, by way of liturgy, gatherings, rites and prayer.
